Each area such as Katy Cinco Ranch West has descriptions of communities, schools and school zoning, highway information, golf, fitness, childrens sports The area above the Westpark Tollway is considered to be Katy Cinco Ranch and the area below the Wespark is considered to be Richmond and Pecan Grove. The Katy Cinco Ranch area is divided by the Grand Parkway 99. The FM 359 area has low home density country subdivisions with one to three acre lots. Sugar Land is divided into FM 1464, North Sugar Land, Lakes, East Sugar Land, First Colony Sugar Land.
Those communities along the Westpark Tollway and FM 1093 are grouped together. Some of these are considered to be in Katy and some in Richmond. There are eleven Pecan Grove area communities. Richmond or Sugar Land Communities are along FM 1464 and south Grand Parkway. There are a number of new communities in the Katy area that are not mapped. These are listed under Katy Cinco Ranch West and City of Katy.
Schools, Highway Access, Golf
Most of the Katy Cinco Ranch communities north of the Westpark Tollway are in Katy school district. Katy has five High Schools that serve the area. The High Schools are Katy High School, Cinco Ranch High School, Seven Lakes High School and Taylor High School and Tompkins. Most of the houses south of the Westpark Tollway and part of the area near Fulshear are in Lamar Independent School Dist. This area has one high school at the moment which is Foster High School with a new one on the way in Fulshear. Some of the north part of the Pecan Grove area and the east part of the Westpark Tollway has houses in the Fort Bend Independent School District with Travis High School, Bowie Junior High School and Austin High School. Sugar Land and Missouri City have Fort Bend ISD schools with five high schools. Sugar Land has the following high schools: Clements, Dulles, Hightower, Austin, Kempner and Elkins.
These areas have good highway access to Houston. Interstate 10 highway is along the north side of the Cinco Ranch area and western Houston and the "Energy Corridor". The Grand Parkway 99 highway currently extends from US 290 past I-10 to 90A & US 59 highway. US 59 highway goes to southwest Houston. The Westpark Tollway is a highway that goes to west and southwest Houston. East-West highways cross State Highway 6 and the Sam Houston Tollway highway 8. The Fort Bend Tollway goes by SH 6 to Beltway 8 and US 90A.
